Years ago, when Kathi Brougham first stepped onto a course, she had no idea golf would become such an influential force in her life—impacting everything from the vacations she takes, to her signature sense of style, to her successful approach to business. What began as a way to spend time with clients away from the office has ended up a deep-seated passion.

And the better her game gets! Traveling to St. Andrew's and competing in Lady Pro Am Tournaments, Kathi has embraced all aspects of golf with great vigor.
Using Her Head
While many people agree that playing good golf means using your head, for Kathi, “having your head in the game” takes on a whole new meaning and has spawned a signature style. In the tradition of Ben Hogan, Kathi has taken to donning a hat while she plays. She started wearing them just to keep her hair from interfering with her game. The fashionable solution quickly became a personal tradition. When she purchased a 41-foot cruiser, her repertoire grew to include a captain's hat too. The trend was set, and soon Kathi found herself wearing different hats for every occasion.
A Hat of a Different Flavor
When she's not swinging a club or helping clients with their investments, Kathi loves to entertain friends and family by creating gourmet meals. When she has her chef's hat on, she calls on her training and experience as a former volunteer for the Midwest Culinary Arts Institute assisting many local four-and five-star chefs. It's a hobby of hers that, much like golf, is built on a tradition of integrity and graciousness.
While the classes she took at the Culinary Arts Institute delight her dinner guests, it's her Business and Marketing degree that Kathi calls on each day when working with clients. But no matter what she's pursuing, she enjoys her continuing education, always involving herself in ways to learn for work and play.
